Grants Billing Analyst

Our roots began in 1981 as the Montrose Clinic, with specialization in HIV education, testing, and treatment. Since then, the agency has expanded to 10 clinics in Houston, one in Baytown, two in Beaumont, and one in Deer Park with extensive services that include: Adult primary care, HIV/AIDS care, pediatrics, OB/GYN and maternity, dental, vision and behavioral health. We also service students within KIPP and YES Prep schools. Legacy is committed to driving healthy change in our communities.

Job Description

The Grant Billing Analyst is responsible for preparing and submitting expense reimbursement reports to appropriate fund sources.

Essential Functions

Perform accounting and clerical functions to support grant accounting personnel

Submit expense reimbursement reports to various funding sources

Record grant and business transactions to the general ledger

Check, verify and process patient insurance premium, coinsurance and copayment invoices in a timely manner

Maintain accounting records by making copies and filing documents

Assist with funding-source audits

Assist with month-end financial close process

Assist with monthly grant billing process

Protect patient and company information by keeping information confidential

Review grant staff allocations

Perform balance sheet reconciliations

Prepare grant financial reports

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Training Requirements

  • High School Diploma required

Work Experience Requirements

  •  3-5 years accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially EXCEL
